With heavy hearts, we remember 19-year-old Victoria Schweitzer of Deshler, whose life was tragically cut short following a devastating two-vehicle crash in Auglaize County, Ohio.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at approximately 6:38 p.m. on September 7, 2026, at the intersection of State Route 65 and Santa Fe New Knoxville Road. Preliminary findings indicate that a 2018 Dodge Charger traveling east on Santa Fe New Knoxville Road allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign before striking a northbound 2021 Chevrolet Malibu.

The Malibu was driven by Victoria. Tragically, she suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At only 19 years old, Victoria had so much life still ahead of her. She had dreams yet to pursue, places yet to go, and memories yet to create. Her sudden passing is a heartbreaking loss that will be felt deeply by her family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved her.

The crash also left 18-year-old Brian Boggs of Jackson Center, a passenger in the Malibu, seriously injured. He was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. The driver of the Charger, 26-year-old Benjamin Pruyn of Marysville, and his passenger, 18-year-old Mia Mills of Marysville, suffered minor injuries and were not transported.

Following the violent collision, both vehicles left the roadway and came to rest in separate cornfields.

Authorities have stated that alcohol or drug impairment is not suspected at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash.

No words can truly express the pain of losing someone so young and full of promise. Victoriaโ€™s time on this earth was far too short, but the memories she created and the lives she touched will remain.

May her family find strength and comfort during the difficult days ahead. May Brian and his loved ones find healing, and may everyone affected by this tragedy receive the support they need.

Rest peacefully, Victoria Schweitzer.

Your life mattered. Your memory matters. And you will never be forgotten.

Please keep Victoriaโ€™s family, Brian Boggs and his family, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy in your thoughts and prayers.
