With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Troy Conner, age 44, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina.

On Thursday night, Troy was tragically taken from us following a fatal shooting on Boiling Springs Road. Deputies with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1211 Boiling Springs Road around 11 p.m. and found Troy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where he passed away at 11:15 p.m.

Troy was 44 years old and a lifelong presence in the Boiling Springs community. He was a son, brother, father, and friend whose life touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Those who knew him best will remember his kind heart, his hardworking spirit, and the way he could light up a room without even trying. He had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved.

With heavy hearts, we mourn a life that was cut far too short. No words can truly capture the shock and sadness we feel. Troy was taken from us suddenly, leaving behind broken hearts and countless memories that we will hold onto forever.

He leaves behind a family who loved him more than words can express and friends who will forever cherish the time they had with him. His laughter, his love, and his legacy will continue to live on through all of us.

The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has scheduled a forensic examination, and funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in the coming days.

Troy was loved beyond measure and will be missed beyond words. Though he is gone from our sight, he will never be gone from our hearts.
