FOREST GROVE, Ore. — A rural community outside Portland is mourning the devastating loss of Stella Jade Kimsey, 26; her mother, Rowan Karla Kimsey, 60; her grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Kimsey, 85; Stella’s best friend, Linsey Mae Haraldsen, 26; and Haraldsen’s partner, Alvin Raymond Chu, 27, who were killed in what authorities are investigating as a quintuple homicide.

The five victims were identified Monday as investigators continued working to understand the circumstances surrounding the deaths at a rural property outside Forest Grove, Oregon.

Authorities said Stella Kimsey was the girlfriend of 36-year-old Benjamin Charles Parker, whom investigators identified as the suspect in the case. Parker was later found dead inside a vehicle in Enumclaw, Washington, approximately 187 miles north of the Forest Grove-area property. Police believe Parker died by suicide.

The tragedy has left multiple families grieving the sudden loss of loved ones and has sent shockwaves throughout the Forest Grove community.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Rowan Kimsey owned the rural property, located about 30 miles west of Portland. She lived there with her daughter, Stella, and Parker.

The family connection among the victims makes the tragedy especially heartbreaking. Rowan was Stella’s mother, while Mary was Stella’s grandmother. Linsey was identified as Stella’s best friend, and Alvin was Linsey’s partner.
