With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we remember 36-year-old Shaterica Travis of Brewton, Alabama, whose life was tragically taken in a single-vehicle crash in Evergreen, Alabama, on the morning of September 5, 2026.
According to the Evergreen Police Department, officers responded at approximately 4:30 a.m. to a serious traffic crash near 13467 U.S. Highway 84. Shaterica was driving a 2012 Jeep Wrangler when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned. She was the only person inside the vehicle and was fatally injured in the collision.
Shaterica was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her loved ones were notified, leaving behind a family and circle of friends who must now face the unimaginable pain of losing someone they cared about.
A life can change in a matter of moments, but the memories created over a lifetime can never be taken away. Shaterica was more than a name in a traffic report. She was a daughter, a loved one, a friend, and a person whose presence mattered to those who knew her. Her life carried meaning, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of the people who loved her.
During times of sudden loss, words often seem inadequate. There is no perfect way to explain the heartbreak that follows such a tragedy. There is only the quiet remembrance of a life that ended far too soon and the hope that those closest to Shaterica find strength and comfort in one another.
May the memories of her laughter, kindness, conversations, and the moments she shared with others become a source of comfort during the difficult days ahead. May her family and friends find peace as they grieve, and may they continue to carry her memory with them wherever life takes them.
Today, we pause to remember Shaterica Travisโa life that mattered, a person who was loved, and a memory that will never be forgotten.
Rest peacefully, Shaterica.
May you forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
