With heavy hearts, we remember Marvin Wiley, 23, of Atlanta, whose young life came to a tragic end following a triple shooting near Laurel Crossing Parkway in Buford, Georgia.
At only 23 years old, Marvin had so much life still ahead of him—dreams yet to be fulfilled, memories yet to be made, and moments that will now live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His passing is a heartbreaking reminder of how suddenly life can change and how deeply the loss of a young person can affect those left behind.
According to authorities, Gwinnett County Police detectives responded to reports of a shooting and found multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds. Marvin was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators later determined that Marvin was among the suspects connected to an armed robbery associated with the incident. Those circumstances remain part of the ongoing investigation, and the full details surrounding what happened are still being examined.
Another individual, Ortagus Bennett, was wounded and transported to a hospital, where authorities reported that he was in stable condition. Detectives also obtained arrest warrants for E’imod Sanchez Toboris Taylor, who was injured during the incident and taken into custody. Taylor faces charges including felony murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies.
Authorities have stated that the incident was isolated and that there was no known continuing threat to the public.
Regardless of the circumstances surrounding the investigation, behind every case is a human life—a person who was known, remembered, and cared for by others. For Marvin’s loved ones, the reality of losing someone so young may bring a pain that words cannot fully express.
As his family and friends mourn, may they find strength in the memories Marvin leaves behind, comfort in one another, and peace as they navigate the difficult days ahead.
Rest peacefully, Marvin Wiley.
Your life may have been far too short, but the memories you leave behind can never be erased. May those who knew you continue to carry your memory in their hearts, and may your loved ones find comfort in the moments they shared with you.
Gone too soon. Remembered forever.
