A heartbreaking loss has left a community grieving after a devastating single-vehicle crash claimed the life of 25-year-old Kaitie Tabor on Thursday evening, September 3.

Police identified Tabor as the victim who died following the tragic crash along NE 23rd Street near McDonald Road at approximately 7 p.m. What began as an ordinary evening quickly turned into a heartbreaking scene, leaving a young family facing unimaginable pain and uncertainty.

According to authorities, Tabor and a 3-month-old infant were ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Six children, ranging in age from just 3 months to 7 years old, were inside the vehicle when the accident occurred. The children were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and evaluation.

Choctaw Police Chief Kelly Marshall confirmed that all six children are currently listed in stable condition. While their condition brings some hope during an otherwise devastating situation, the circumstances surrounding the crash have left loved ones and members of the community deeply shaken.

The loss of Kaitie Tabor is especially heartbreaking because of the young life that was taken far too soon. At only 25 years old, she had so much life ahead of her, with countless moments still waiting to be lived and memories still waiting to be made. Her sudden passing has undoubtedly left an emptiness that will be difficult for her family, friends, and everyone who knew her to understand.

Investigators are continuing their work to determine exactly what led to the crash. Authorities are in the process of obtaining a search warrant for the vehicleโ€™s data recorder, which investigators hope will provide additional information about the vehicleโ€™s operation and help establish what happened in the moments leading up to the collision.

As the investigation continues, the focus remains on the well-being of the children and supporting those who have been affected by this devastating tragedy.

For Taborโ€™s loved ones, the days ahead will undoubtedly be filled with grief, questions, and memories of a life that ended far too soon. No words can fully express the pain of losing someone so young and loved in such sudden circumstances.

May Kaitie Tabor be remembered for the life she lived, the people she touched, and the memories she leaves behind. May her family, friends, and loved ones find strength and comfort as they face the difficult days ahead.

Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with Kaitieโ€™s family and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy. We also continue to keep the six children in our thoughts, praying for their continued recovery, strength, and healing.

Rest in peace, Kaitie Tabor. You will be remembered.
