A quiet early morning in Warrior, Alabama, turned into a heartbreaking tragedy when a single-vehicle crash claimed the life of 37-year-old Jordan Alex Wilhite of Hayden.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Wilhite was the driver and only occupant of a vehicle involved in a devastating crash in the 1000 block of Warrior-Jasper Road early Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred shortly after midnight. Authorities said Wilhite’s vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. The force of the crash resulted in fatal injuries, and despite the response of emergency personnel, Wilhite could not be saved.
