According to Arkansas State Police, the heartbreaking incident occurred after a Honda Civic fled from police and subsequently struck a guardrail before overturning. A northbound Honda Pilot then collided with the overturned Civic.

Jamia was a passenger in the Civic and sadly lost her life in the crash. Two men involved in the collision were injured and transported to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) for treatment.
