With heavy hearts, we remember Deanndra Elaine Hamlett, 25, of Roseburg, Oregon, whose life was tragically cut short following a devastating rollover crash on Interstate 5 in Douglas County.

The crash happened at approximately 8:18 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2026, on southbound Interstate 5 near milepost 127. According to Oregon State Police, Hamlett was driving a black 2009 Toyota Scion tC when the vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason and rolled over.

Tragically, Hamlett was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Despite the emergency response, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sudden loss of a 25-year-old life is a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly everything can change. Deanndra had so much life ahead of her, and her passing leaves behind loved ones who must now face the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye.

Interstate 5 was impacted for approximately five hours while authorities secured the scene and investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash. Oregon State Police were assisted by Central Douglas Fire & Rescue and the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The investigation is being conducted with assistance from the Oregon State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, which specializes in fatal and critical-injury crashes across Oregon. Investigators use advanced measuring techniques and small unmanned aircraft systems to carefully document and analyze complex collision scenes.

As authorities continue working to determine why the vehicle left the roadway, those who knew and loved Deanndra are left to remember the person she was beyond this heartbreaking tragedy.

She will be remembered for the life she lived, the memories she created and the people whose lives she touched. No words can truly ease the pain of losing someone so young and unexpectedly, but the love and memories shared with her can remain forever.
