The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has identified 30-year-old Daqwuantavest Taqwuan Barber of Greenville as the man who lost his life following a shooting in Greenville County, South Carolina, on Monday night, September 8, 2026.

The shooting happened shortly before 10 p.m. at 300 Furman Hall Road in Greenville, where deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to reports of gunfire. When authorities arrived, they found two people suffering from at least one gunshot wound each.

Both victims were transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. Despite efforts to save his life, one of the victims, later identified as Barber, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
