With profound sadness, we remember 46-year-old Ameenah Moses, whose life was tragically taken in a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood on Tuesday evening.

Ameenah was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds along Forest Way shortly after 6:30 p.m. Emergency responders and Pittsburgh Police arrived at the scene, where Ameenah was found critically injured. Despite the efforts made, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death has left family members, friends, neighbors, and others who knew her facing an unimaginable loss. A life that held memories, relationships, hopes, and moments shared with others was suddenly and tragically cut short.

As the investigation continues, Pittsburgh Police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and what led to Ameenah’s death. No arrests have been made at this time, and authorities continue to gather information as they work toward answers and accountability.
