According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews responded at approximately 8:05 p.m. to the 4200 block of 180th Street NE in Solon after reports of a vehicle striking a pedestrian who was walking alongside the roadway. Witnesses stated that the driver involved did not stop and instead left the scene following the crash.

Brian Vincent, a resident of Solon, was critically injured and transported by University of Iowa AirCare to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for urgent medical treatment.
