Lee Black, 23, of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, was killed early Thursday morning in a fatal two-vehicle crash on Route 119 North near the Route 21 interchange in Uniontown. His death has left family, friends and loved ones grieving the sudden loss of a young life.
The crash happened at approximately 4 a.m. Thursday, according to authorities. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision, which occurred on Route 119 North near the Route 21 interchange.
According to the Fayette County Coronerโs Office, Black was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said he was ejected from one of the vehicles involved in the crash and was found unresponsive by emergency responders.
Another person involved in the collision, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. Authorities have not provided additional information about that personโs condition.
The serious crash prompted a major closure of Route 119 North. The roadway was shut down between the Route 21 and Route 40 exits for more than five hours while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene.
The roadway has since reopened, and traffic is moving through the area again.
