Samuel was transported from the crash scene to Bozeman Health Big Sky Medical Center for emergency medical treatment. Despite efforts to save his life, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The Gallatin County Coroner’s Office identified the driver as 23-year-old Samuel Hale of Bozeman. Authorities determined that his cause of death was blunt force injuries, while the manner of death was ruled accidental.
