Some goodbyes come far too soon, and some losses leave a pain that words can never fully explain. Today, we remember Quadarius Holloman, a 19-year-old young man from Edenton whose life was tragically taken on September 9, 2026.

Nineteen years is simply not enough time. There were supposed to be more birthdays, more laughter, more late-night conversations, more memories, more dreams, and more tomorrows. There was supposed to be so much more life ahead.

Instead, his family and friends are left trying to understand a loss that no heart should have to carry.

Quadarius was someoneโ€™s son, someoneโ€™s brother, someoneโ€™s grandson, someoneโ€™s nephew, someoneโ€™s cousin, and someoneโ€™s friend. He was loved, he was known, and he mattered. His life was more than the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding his passing. He was a person with a story, memories, hopes, dreams, and people who cared deeply about him.

For those who loved him, the hardest part may be knowing that they can no longer call him, hear his voice, see his smile, or make another memory with him. Yet the memories they already have will remain forever.

When someone we love leaves this world unexpectedly, we often wish for one more conversation, one more hug, one more chance to say, โ€œI love you.โ€ Unfortunately, life does not always give us that final moment.

So today, let us remember Quadarius with love and dignity. Let us keep his family in our thoughts and prayers and give them the privacy and compassion they deserve during this unimaginable time.

May the memories of Quadarius bring comfort when the tears come. May his loved ones find strength in each other. And may his name never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Quadarius.
You were here. You were loved. You mattered.
Forever 19. Forever in our hearts.
